I just wanted to thank this forum. I haven't post much, but I am always on here looking for advice. My hubby and I closed on our house two days ago and I am over the moon. Back in March of this year, my scores were in the mid to high 500's. Our goal was to purchase in 2018, but the home prices in Dallas were going up too much and we were afraid of renting forever. Once our scores improved to the 620-679 range, we applied for a conventional loan. We were preapproved, but the deal fell through because of a foreclosure from 2009. Although we lost our home in 2009, our names remained on the deed until 2011. I qualified for an fha loan and thank God, everything worked out. We placed an offer on the house on July 29th and we closed on the house on September 1st. My goal is to continue building up good financial judgement and I will continue to glean from all the knowledge from this site. Once again, thank you.
